About

SEVC is a non-governmental PURE HUMANITARIAN non-profit voluntary relief & development organization working with the poorest communities. SEVC started working from Islamabad in the year 1998. SEVC enables poor communities to eliminate their poverty and helps to create the conditions under which poverty may be mitigated in the future. SEVC is helping the poor to address the causes and effects of their poverty by planning and implementing long-term development programs and by sharing political experience with others. The emphasis in all programs is on sustainable development and enabling communities to gain a degree of control over their future. We at the SEVC believe that poverty is a complex phenomenon that can be reduced through comprehensive and integrated programs addressing the causes and not just the symptoms of poverty.

Reduction in poverty can be brought about by working simultaneously in several sectors including:

• Women & Youth Development
• Economical Empowerment

In the same community, the total program gains synergy as each sector’s activity reinforces the efforts of another. Activities are undertaken as communities indicate their priority concerns and willingness to participate in the development process.
